| We supply medics on long term contracts and to date these have been very successful. Our clients have found that when they employ an OMSI medic, they're not just getting a fully qualified medic, but also a telephone back up from a team of Doctors, approved for offshore and diving work. | OMSI also provides fully qualified medics for relief work covering for holidays, periods of sickness, etc. and we pride ourselves on being able to respond immediately in such circumstances. We have organised our personnel in such a way that our medics are ready to mobilise at a few hours notice, though we usually find our Clients give us about 72 hours notice. |
Oilfield Medical Services International Limited has been supplying Medics to the offshore industry in both British and foreign waters since 1974.
OMSI medics have been supplied to the following companies:
| Phillips Petroleum | Unocal | Shell UK Expro | BP Expro | British Gas |
| Gas Council (Exploration) Ltd. | Dubai Petroleum Co. | McDermotts | Placid International | Viking Offshore |
| Chevron (UK) Ltd. | Atlantic Drilling | Britship (IOM) Ltd. | Sverre Farstad | Swecal |

OMSI medics are carefully selected. They are chosen from Registered General and Enrolled (or Services equivalent) grade nurses, are subject to a thorough 2 hours examination of their clinical ability by one of the staff Doctors and are medically examined before being employed.
OMSI medics will work at many other disciplines, usually clerical/computer and, in certain circumstances, if qualified, HLO work.
OMSI medics are fully conversant with current procedures having attended clinical refresher courses on a regular basis.
OMSI medics are conversant with Diving Medicine.
OMSI medics all have current Offshore Survival and Firefighting Certificates.

OMSI medics are all legislatively qualified and if considered necessary receive in-house refresher training and hospital attachments for practical procedures and attend selected seminars
Our associate company, North Sea Medical Centre Ltd., specialises in Occupational Health, providing medical facilities for the offshore industry, supplying advice and medical cover for offshore installations in the Southern Sector of the North Sea and is committed by way of running the most up to date medical training for offshore medics. All OMSI medics undergo their medical refresher and other appropriate courses here.
Should you wish for information on these items, please contact Adele Southall in our Training Department.
OMSI medics are well insured. The Company provides the following insurances
| Professional Indemnity Insurance |
| Public Liability Insurance |
| Employer's Liability Insurance |
| Personal Accident and Sickness Insurance |

OMSI medics are required to maintain an accurate record of their activities. These records are submitted at regular intervals for perusal by the Company's Doctor who is responsible for the maintenance of the professional standards of our employees or by the North Sea Medical Centre Doctor, provided always that the client is in agreement.

Travel to and from worksite is arranged by the most cost effective method according to the requirements of the client.
In the event of the absence of a medic due to sickness or for compassionate reasons, OMSI always provides a relief medic to take his place.
The medic can, in conjunction with the North Sea Medical Centre, arrange for the repatriation of sick or injured European personnel.
We also offer a service to supply drugs, dressings and medical equipment on a worldwide basis and have successfully supplied these to contracts in Russia, Vietnam, Tunisia and Algeria.
Where appropriate, our medics are supplied with written protocols to cover most medical eventualities together with a drugs formulary, all of which have been developed over several years.
Protocols and formulary can be supplied on a commercial basis, and they have proved particularly useful to medical personnel who work in remote locations overseas.
For those companies who do not have their own medical department, this service is offered on a tailor-made basis to supervise all aspects of the medics' role, from the checking of medical treatment records and offshore field requisitions through to onsite hygiene inspections, pre employment interview for prospective medical personnel and recruitment of medics.
We are also able to offer assistance with regard to minimum stock requirements for individual sick bays, issuing of procedures for medics for medical evacuation of injured personnel and giving guidance to medics in the administering of medicines.
Our rates are very competitive for the calibre of medic we supply and we are only a telephone call away. We operate a 24 hour service and can be contacted by fax and e-mail.
